Mortgage Brokers & Originators

Reports To: Managing State Broker/Owner

Job Summary: The Mortgage Broker/Originator is responsible for assisting clients in obtaining residential and commercial mortgage loans by evaluating their financial status, advising on suitable loan options, and guiding them through the mortgage application process. This role requires strong sales skills, in-depth knowledge of mortgage products, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and lending institutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet with clients to assess their financial situation and mortgage needs.
  • Advise clients on suitable mortgage products and loan options.
  • Collect and review client documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Submit loan applications to lenders and follow up on the status of applications.
  • Negotiate loan terms and conditions with lenders on behalf of clients.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of current mortgage products, rates, and regulations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, real estate agents, and other industry professionals.
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan process.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Stay updated on market trends and changes in the mortgage industry.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field preferred.
  • State mortgage broker license required. FL, GA, MD, PA, and TX Only.
  • Previous experience in mortgage lending, sales, or financial services.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in mortgage software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients and tasks.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

Licensed Mortgage Broker/Originator Assistants

Location: Remote

Reports To: Mortgage Broker/Originator

Job Summary: The Mortgage Broker/Originator Assistant will support the Mortgage Broker/Originator in managing and processing loan applications. This role involves interacting with clients, gathering necessary documentation, and ensuring a smooth and efficient mortgage process. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Mortgage Broker/Originator in preparing and processing loan applications.
  • Collect and review client documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and answer inquiries.
  • Maintain and update client files and records.
  • Coordinate with underwriters, appraisers, and other parties involved in the loan process.
  • Schedule and manage appointments for the Mortgage Broker/Originator.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Provide administrative support, including data entry and document management.
  • Assist in preparing loan closing documents and coordinating loan closings.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or in the financial services industry is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and loan processing software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
